We then walk past the Royal Palace of Amsterdam – will you see King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima during your visit? -, past the Nieuwe Kerk and the former main post office Magna Plaza to the Torensluis Bridge. It is the widest bridge in Amsterdam and holds a few secrets …

There you will see one of the smallest houses in Amsterdam and reflect on the colonial era of the Netherlands at the Multatuli statue. Then stroll along the typical crooked houses of the beautiful canals and cross the time-honored Spui Square to reach the pearl of Amsterdam’s city center through a hidden entrance: the Beguinage. We can’t wait to see if you discover the Beguinage’s secret church right away!

After taking a look at the sublime landmark of the Jordaan district, the Westerkerk, on your way back to Dam Square you will see the river from which the city takes its name: the Amstel.

Love for Amsterdam reinforced The organisation of Incredible Amsterdam for the guided tour for our two groups of 8 people each through the Rijksmuseum and the city of Amsterdam worked perfectly. The introduction to the golden age in one of Europe's most important world heritage cities was a great success. The three plagues of the past X (plague, water and fire) and the three plagues of the present X (bicycles, tourists and cannabis) were vividly and vividly described to us. A successful cultural and historical tour Johanna from Incredible Amsterdam guided us unerringly through the labyrinth of Amsterdam's canals on her cultural tour. She not only introduced us to modern Amsterdam, but also gave us an impression of how the Netherlands was a world power in the 16th and 17th centuries. This is still reflected in the cityscape. I was particularly impressed by the information that there were 20,000 ships in Europe in the first half of the 17th century, 16,000 of which sailed under the Dutch flag.

To join the tour was a really good decision. The guide gave us precise and detailed information about the landmarks we passed. The tour and the guide were excellently prepared, and the knowledge she showed and shared with us was deep and well established in every form. It was not only informative but also entertaining, as she managed to mix history with humor in a very natural way. The walking route through the city center was well chosen, giving us the chance to discover both the famous highlights and some hidden corners of Amsterdam. The explanations in German were clear, easy to follow, and enriched with interesting anecdotes that made the history come alive. Great tours in a magical city! We had 3 private tours as a family (city tour Centrum, Rjiksmuseum and Red Light District) with the lovely guides Marina and Noemi ☺️ The two of them were well prepared, were able to answer all our questions competently and above all: it was really fun to be on the road with them!
