Without a roof or a plug in your ear, our passionate guide will tell you what makes Amsterdam so special and what stories and anecdotes are hidden in every corner of the city. All in German, of course, so that you don’t miss anything and can ask our guide any questions you may have.

We will be happy to organise drinks, fresh pizzas or typical Dutch snacks for your all-round feel-good experience.

It is important to us that you enjoy your canal cruise from start to finish. That’s why we liaise closely with you throughout the planning process and are happy to take your own ideas and wishes into account.

So that you don’t have to travel long distances, we will be happy to drop you off at your preferred location in Amsterdam and will also drop you off at your next programme point at the end.

As native German speakers, our city guides will be on hand to give you insider tips and recommendations during the tour.

Important information about the canal cruise

The canal cruise takes place in all weathers. In case it rains, please bring suitable clothing and an umbrella.

There is no toilet on board. Your guide will be happy to show you before the tour where you can quickly go to the toilet when you leave.

The open boats cannot be boarded without barriers. However, our guide and the skipper of the boat will be happy to help you up the two steps onto the boat and place you safely on the benches. Foldable wheelchairs, walking frames and pushchairs can be taken on board.

There is no room for large luggage and suitcases on the boat.

Dogs are very welcome: small four-legged friends can be taken on your lap, larger dogs can sit with the skipper of the boat. Please note: this only applies to “sea-safe” dogs that do not get seasick easily.

Meeting point

The meeting point is on the first footbridge next to the small ticket booth labelled “STROMMA”, Prins Hendrikkade 35a. If you walk out of the main entrance of the central station, please walk straight ahead onto the bridge (with the tram tracks in the middle) and at the end of the bridge walk down the stairs to the right/west to the branch at the waterfront.

Your guide will be waiting for you at the first jetty, wearing a red name badge around his/her neck. Please wait by the water and arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour starts. The boat will leave on time.
