The works of art reflect the sense of beauty typical of the time, which you can experience on a chronological journey through time.
Rijksmuseum – a unique experience
The architecture of Rijksmuseum is breathtaking in itself. The imposing neo-Gothic-style building was specially designed to provide the perfect stage for works of art from the 16th and 17th centuries.
By 2013, the Rijksmuseum had been completely renovated and redesigned for ten years and now shines more splendidly and beautifully than ever.
A special color palette was even designed for the interior of the Rijksmuseum. It makes the countless paintings and exhibits stand out particularly impressively.
Inside you will find the largest national art collection in the Netherlands, world-famous and carefully curated. Your passionate English speaking guide will introduce you to the art of the Golden Age, when Dutch artists set the tone on the global art scene.
Discover why Rembrandt and his contemporaries created works of unparalleled beauty and genius, which historical events are reflected in the paintings and which curiosities from the 17th century are hidden inside Rijksmuseum.

The introduction to the golden age in one of Europe's most important world heritage cities was a great success. The three plagues of the past X (plague, water and fire) and the three plagues of the present X (bicycles, tourists and cannabis) were vividly and vividly described to us. The guides were very friendly and conveyed their enthusiasm for the city very well.read moreread less

The guide was super friendly and had a good sense of humor, which made the whole thing feel relaxed instead of like a history class.
