What can you expect on the Scavenger Hunt through the Centre of Amsterdam?

Explore the city centre of Amsterdam with your group of colleagues, school class or friends in a fun way on your own.

Our entertaining, educational and exciting scavenger hunt is a varied alternative to a classic city tour and great fun for all participants.

Although it is of course our greatest passion to tell you the most interesting facts and anecdotes about our beautiful favourite city, your guide will only give you a brief introduction at the meeting point.

For the next 2 hours, you will be on your own and work out the answers together as a team. Don’t worry: your guide is never far away from you if you get stuck and need help. But we rely entirely on your clever minds!

Who will be the lucky winner?

Have you followed all the signposts and completed all six tasks? Then make your way to the meeting point where you will all be reunited. Your guide awaits you here and analyses your answers. The winner is the group that has completed the most tasks the quickest.

Of course, you are all winners, because you have learnt lots of new and exciting facts about Amsterdam!

You can choose in advance where you want to end your interactive scavenger hunt. This could be a café where you can reward yourselves with a coke and Kaasstengels for your great answers, or a central square from where you can set off on your further Amsterdam adventures (or simply take a lunch break).

The scavenger hunt requires a bit of brain power, good transfer thinking and, above all, a desire for variety and fun. The scavenger hunt is perfect for colleagues and teams in particular, as it requires good teamwork and brings you even closer together.

What will you see on your Scavenger Hunt?

Of course, the most beautiful and interesting sights that Amsterdam has to offer.

Discover the history of the Spinhuis and the Rasphuis, be enchanted by the sight of the Blue Bridge and the Amstel on the Waterlooplein, see the Rembrandt House in the former Jewish quarter and the old weigh house on the Nieuwmarkt.

Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the Beguinage and be impressed by the splendour of the Westerkerk, next to which you will also find the much-visited Anne Frank House.

Hardly any other guided tour will introduce you to as many highlights of Amsterdam’s city centre as our scavenger hunt.

Explore the cosy ‘9 Straatjes’ in the canal belt, find out what the great Eduard Douwes Dekker is all about and see the second narrowest house in Amsterdam.

You can also marvel at the Royal Palace and the Nieuwe Kerk on Dam Square, as well as the house of the VOC, the driving force of the Golden Age.

very nice Did this with my teenage kids and they loved it. The challenges were fun but not too hard, and it was nice that we got to explore Amsterdam’s history without it feeling like a lecture. They especially enjoyed spotting the second narrowest house in the city!

Perfect activiti Such a fun way to explore Amsterdam! The scavenger hunt kept us moving and thinking. I loved running around the city with friends, discovering hidden corners, and spotting places like the Rembrandt House and Westerkerk. Great for groups who want something active and different.

sooo fun This was a really cool way to see the city. We learned a lot about Amsterdam’s history while having fun competing in teams. The stations were well thought out, and it was awesome to explore the canal belt and the 9 Straatjes. We got a bit stuck at one point, thanks Theresa for helping us outt. 🙂
